Madhugiri Harihareshwara Swamy Temple.
Location : Madhugiri,Tumkur Dist,Karnataka.
From Madhugiri its about 3-6Kms for the Temple.
KSRTC Buses are there from bangalore to madhugiri.
Swamy Harihara Swamy Temple is situated near madhugiri (Tumkur Dist) of Karnataka.From madhugiri KSRTC Bus stop it is about 4-6 Kms for the temple.
Temple is surrounded by Mountains and forests.Bears and Cheetahs are usually found in the villages nearby.There are small villages near to the temple are Kammanakote, Maarebeelu and Harihara Roppa.
Road facilities was not there earlier so people who lives in the near villages used to reach temple by climbing the mountains which connects to the Temple.Now there are transport facilities from Bangalore there are buses to madhugiri every 25 mins from morning 6-7.
Before nobody use to go to the temple regularly.The temple was open only twice a year on Shivarathri and Brahma Rathotsava.Now Temple will be open everyday vishesha pooja will be held on all the days.Brahma Rathotsava will be held in the month of December every year.
The place is very beautiful surrounded by mountains and greenery.One of my favorite place will stay for 3-5 days every year during the the Brahma rathotsava. Madhugiri is also famous for Madhugiri Fort its a historical place of Karnataka it is also called as Elu Suttina kote.

Now the government has done many improvements to the village they have started to construct the dam near the temple.
There are small small water sources near the temple which was beautiful earlier.Now they have made place very dirty village people use that water to wash clothes and vessels.
There are many tourist Places in and around Madhugiri namely:
1.Second Largest Monolith in the world.
2.Jayamangali Blackbuck Reservoir.
3.Siddara betta.
This forest is known for its population for Peafowls,Panthers,Snakes,sloth bears and countable Hyenas.
